Senior/Medical Science Liaison, Oncology

As the Medical Science Liaison – Oncology, Lung Cancer you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. This role will be Sydney based.
Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals and other key external stakeholders involved in the management of lung cancer.
Maintaining clinical/scientific expertise and being a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
Scientific leadership and discussion with key customers delivering scientific information
Effectively identify, gather, analyse, synthesise and communicate relevant new knowledge and insights about the external environment to internal stakeholders
Support the clinical trials team in start-up and recruitment for lung cancer clinical trials
Participate in brand strategy, clinical development, strategic planning and internal projects based on customer perspectives
Deliver disease area and product-specific training to internal stakeholders including commercial field force and clinical research associates
Driving medical excellence for the business working closely with the medical manager and medical team to support execution of scientific strategy and lung cancer medical plan.
To be successful you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (ex: Medicine, Pharmacy or disease related science) and/or extensive experience within the Medical Affairs function of the pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge and relationships with relevant customer segments and market dynamics
Demonstrated success in building strong external and internal relationships through strong communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills, along with self-driven motivation to strive and achieve
Experience with basic research, drug discovery, drug development and KOL interactions.
Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences including external experts
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and demonstrated project/team/cross-functional leadership
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to self-manage
High level analytical and conceptual thinking
Previous experience in lung cancer or oncology would be highly regarded
