About the role

We’re hiring a National Business Manager to lead AstraZeneca Australia’s CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism) Specialty Care sales organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Sales for CVRM, you will provide secondline leadership across a highperforming national team, with four State Specialty Care Managers as direct reports and ~28 total team members.

You will balance execution on inmarket priorities with building the foundations for upcoming launches,strengthening our leadership in cardiology and nephrology and expanding our position in endocrinology. This is a fieldfacing, crossfunctional role at the centre of launch readiness and hospital specialty care execution.

This role offers a rare opportunity to lead a critical portfolio improving outcomes for patients across cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases working in a collaborative culture with clear purpose, strong values, and a one-sales-team approach.

What you’ll do

  • Lead four State Managers and a national team of ~28; build culture and performance.
  • Own CVRM sales execution and forecasting; strengthen cardiology and nephrology; grow endocrinology.
  • Translate crossfunctional strategy into account plans; drive PBS/formulary and pathway adoption.
  • Orchestrate launch readiness and execution; develop capability, deployment, and objection handling.
  • Elevate hospital specialty advocacy; support congresses and compliant HCP engagement.
  • Set clear KPIs and cadences; enforce CRM discipline, call quality, and pipeline health.
  • Recruit, coach, and successionplan; address people and culture priorities.
  • Embed Medicines Australia Code; ensure robust promotional and HCP governance.

What you’ll bring

  • Previous tenure in a role with secondline experience (preferred but not essential). We would also consider a well tenured and high performing First Line Sales Managers ready for their next career move.
  • Hospital specialty experience in cardiology, nephrology and/or endocrinology preferred but experience in other Therapy Areas will also be considered
  • Proven launch or prelaunch execution in specialty care.
  • Strength in strategy translation, matrix collaboration, and datadriven decisions.
  • High autonomy and ownership; operates as a readynow sales leader.
  • Proficiency in CRM/BI, forecasting, and dashboards; strong governance mindset.
  • Bachelor’s in life sciences, business, or related; AU work rights; national travel.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree-level qualification in science/medicine preferred.
  • Marketing qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Significant experience leading specialty care sales in pharmaceuticals, ideally within CVRM or adjacent therapy areas.
