At AstraZeneca, we are reimagining the future of Reward — making it more transparent, inclusive, and aligned with the changing needs of our people. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your Reward expertise with strategic change management leadership and play a pivotal part in shaping our total reward offering while also leading change initiatives that embed new ways of working across HR and the business.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the annual reward and compensation cycle, ensuring fairness, transparency, and competitiveness through benchmarking, market insights, and digital tools.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to design reward strategies that attract, engage, and retain diverse talent.
- Use engagement and wellbeing data to recommend benefits that meet evolving employee needs, supporting life balance and inclusion.
- Ensure compliance and governance through clear processes, robust reporting, and alignment with AstraZeneca’s global frameworks.
- Manage key supplier relationships and leverage HR systems (Workday) to deliver a seamless reward experience.
- Act as a change leader for reward and broader people initiatives, helping shape the journey toward a more skills- and experience-based organisation.
- Partner across HR and business leaders to co-create new approaches to employee experience, embedding EVP into reward and benefits design.
- Use project management and change management best practices to drive adoption of new reward processes, systems, and cultural shifts.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by embedding fair reward practices and supporting organisational commitments (e.g., WGEA, AWEI).
- Translate market trends and future-of-work insights into practical transformation strategies that improve employee experience and organisational agility.
What you bring to the role:
- Proven experience in Reward / Total Rewards leadership.
- Track record of leading HR change initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Expertise in compensation, benefits, engagement, and wellbeing, paired with change leadership skills.
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making, translating insights into innovative reward and transformation strategies.
- Strong HR technology knowledge (Workday preferred), and ability to manage suppliers and cross-border teams.
- Experienced in workplace gender equality reporting (WGEA) and DEI frameworks (e.g., AWEI).
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills — able to influence senior leaders, build trust, and engage employees at all levels
