GP Representative - Brisbane West

Lieu Macquarie Park, Nouvelle-Galles du Sud, Australie Job ID R-244300 Date de publication 02/02/2026

AstraZeneca is a global, science‑led biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines across four therapy areas: Oncology; Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism (CVRM); Respiratory & Immunology (R&I); and Rare Disease. In Australia, we’ve delivered value to patients for more than 60 years, pushing the boundaries of science to bring life‑changing medicines.

Join our Primary Care team partnering with General Practitioners to enable evidence‑based treatment and better patient outcomes. You’ll be part of a collaborative Brisbane South team that operates across shared territories (GP and hospital), combining face‑to‑face engagement with practical data insights. We champion coaching, resilience, and learning agility to help you grow.

What you’ll do

  • Build trusted GP relationships through face‑to‑face sales calls, lunch meetings, and effective drop‑in cold calls to increase access and influence behaviour change.

  • Plan and execute coverage across Brisbane West and Toowoomba, prioritising A/B/C targets, booking appointments, and delivering daily activity (target ~6 customer contacts/day).

  • Communicate clear, persuasive product messages; place samples appropriately and drive follow‑up that translates to measurable market share impact.

  • Collaborate with partner reps (GP, hospital, PCAR) to deliver shared territory outcomes and contribute to evening education events.

  • Use digital tools and business insights to refine call plans and improve effectiveness.

  • Progress Medicines Australia accreditation and participate in ongoing capability development.

Essential for the role

  • Strong people skills: warm, engaging, rapid rapport‑building; tailored communication with GPs and practice teams.

  • Proven selling mindset: ability to make clear, specific asks that drive behaviour change; resilience navigating gatekeepers and cold‑calling.

  • Territory planning and execution: organised routing, activity management, and consistent follow‑through.

  • Learning agility: able to acquire product/clinical knowledge and complete Medicines Australia accreditation.

  • Collaboration: effective teamwork across shared territories with a “we” mindset.

  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel; Toowoomba base preferred or strong local familiarity.

Desirable for the role

  • Experience in pharmaceutical/medical GP sales, field sales, or primary care engagement.

  • Background in pharmacy, nursing, sports/exercise science, or similar health field with demonstrated sales aptitude.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Veeva/Salesforce) and using data/insights to plan activity.

  • Experience delivering lunch‑and‑learns or evening education meetings.
