We currently have an exciting opportunity in the Breast and Gynae Oncology Business Unit for a Brand Manager. 

What you’ll do

As a Breast Cancer Brand Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of all aspects of the marketing activities for Lynparza in the management of Breast Cancer. The marketing activities include but are not limited to the co-development of the brand strategy with specific focus on market opportunity assessment, market research, insights and analytics assessment, brand positioning, messaging, and asset planning. 

A recent PBS listing sees great opportunities for growing the brand & in developing/strengthen relationships with Breast Cancer surgeons who are a new stakeholder group for the brand. In this role you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to bring the local Brand Strategy to realization by establishing strong working relationship with fellow Marketeers including those CFTs who also market Lynparza, Medical, Diagnostics, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Comm Ex/Insights teams and Sales partners. 

You will provide input into cross-functional planning and programs by communicating brand strategy and identifying market opportunities and risks. You will be also working closely with the Gynae/Breast team with regards to the digital communications strategy across these portfolios. 

The role requires an ability to motivate, develop, and inspire employees, clearly communicating brand vision with passion and authenticity, and leading without authority across functional areas. Organising people, activities, communication & resources around a common goal and achieving business objectives in a timely manner will be essential to this role. 

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field 

  • Previous experience in Pharmaceutical marketing / promotion 

  • Demonstrated customer-focus and ability to rapidly develop mutually beneficial relationships with key customers 

  • Experience managing complex projects at the project management level 

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to assess and drive results 

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with cross-functional stakeholders 


Desirable for the role

  • Oncology Experience 

  • Understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products in Australia 

  • Understanding of the Australian Healthcare environment
