Introduction to Role:

Join us as a Maintenance Lead in our Operations department, where you will be responsible for delivering asset and energy performance within the utilities department. This role offers the opportunity to lead the way on sustainability across our sites, fulfilling AstraZeneca's ambitious sustainability strategy by promoting sustainable work practices and spotting opportunities for improvement. As a first line manager, you will coach and support junior engineers, technicians and engineering coordinators to achieve world-class asset performance through equipment expertise and application of world-class asset care processes.

Accountabilities:

As a Maintenance Lead, you will be accountable for the performance of the systems and asset care processes in terms of utility availability, generation performance & output quality. You will ensure that engineering controls that contribute to SHE/GMP compliance are maintained appropriately and that new demands from changes in standards are implemented. You will also manage your budget responsibilities, track and control people and non-manpower spend within your area and set up appropriate compliant service level agreements with suppliers and key specialists to ensure optimal standards of asset performance.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Relevant engineering degree (preferred) or recognised engineering training route (e.g. apprenticeship)

- Significant & relevant experience of assets & asset care practices within a highly regulated environment

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Chartered or working towards Chartership with an appropriate engineering institution
