Job Title: Associate Director Manufacturing (Night Shift)
Introduction to role:
The Associate Director Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing packing operations within the Packing Department on the night shift, ensuring adherence to defined process and operational standards while focusing on improving operational performance.
This role operates from Monday to Thursday 21:00 to 06:00.
Accountabilities:
The Associate Director will work closely with the Packing Leadership Team to deliver the strategy defined by the Site/ Packing LT. You will:
Act as the most senior leader on the night shift, taking on overall responsibility for performance across 11 packing lines
Manage and develop a team of operators
Achieve Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE), Quality, Supply, Cost and People metrics and KPI’s across all lines on the night shift
Support and coach first line leaders with all aspects of people management including HR issues
Drive asset performance with a focus on problem solving on under-performing lines
Identify and act upon performance trends over multiple lines and weeks/months
Champion productivity and continuous improvement by promoting LEAN ways of working
Engage effectively with strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver change
Champion AstraZeneca’s stance on inclusion and diversity, and uphold the values and behaviours

Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience in leading a Packing or Filling Line
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Pharmaceutical Subjects
Experience of shop-floor manufacturing and shift work
Matrix line management and influencing skills
Effective problem and conflict resolution skills and proven team focus
Proven leadership promoting motivation and empowering others to accomplish individual, team and organizational objectives
Experience in managing and leading through change
Ability to lead cross-functional working groups and teams; demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a regional environment
Budgetary and resource management planning experience
Proven negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal leadership skills
