What You'll do

The Brand Lead will drive the development and execution of marketing strategies through cross functional leadership to optimise the value of AstraZeneca’s portfolio and pipeline. You are responsible for the delivery of brand objectives and sales targets, operating within the defined resource value. Leading all aspects of marketing team outcomes, adjusting practices, crafting brand strategy for execution.

Integrate omnichannel strategies into brand planning, engage with partners, influencers, and decision makers, and use insights for strategic decisions. You will lead cross-functional teams (IBEX, Medical, Policy, Access, Compliance, Finance) and business planning cycles.

Your main accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for and owns the single brand plan for Inhaled Asthma. Plans for future indications inc. launch planning and leads the brand planning process
  • Leads the XF team (including IBEX, Medical, Policy, Access, Compliance, Finance)
  • Responsible for and leads the process and inputs required for LRP and other business planning cycles
  • Ensures omnichannel is embedded into the brand plan and planning process
  • External engagement with key stakeholders, influencers and decision makers
  • Uses insights and performance data to ensure strategic decision making is informed and agile to market shifts
  • Responsible for close marketing & sales alignment, ensuring all aspects of the marketing plan meet the needs of field teams and customers

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Significant pharmaceutical commercial experience with a strong performance track record
  • Experience in inhaled respiratory preferably Asthma
  • Proven success working closely with field team, including sales management
  • Understanding of NHS sustainability agenda and its impact on local market access
  • Strong marketing leadership with a successful track record of growing market share
  • Preparing for and successfully launching new products and brands
  • Creative marketing capabilities together with rigorous commercial business sense
  • Comprehensive understanding of the ABPI code of practice

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Good experience of the UK market, with its unique NHS system
  • Sales management experience
