S/4HANA Data Quality & Analytics Lead – Finance

Introduction to the role:

The S/4 Data Quality and Analytics Lead – Finance is responsible for leading the delivery of data quality activities and remediation within the S/4 programme. This role is aligned with the Finance organization and supports Data Design Leads by ensuring that data is ready for S/4 HANA deployments and complies with defined standards.

Additionally, the role involves defining and implementing the data quality framework needed to ensure that S/4 data remains fit for purpose post-deployment and can continue to be used with confidence.

Accountabilities:

- Lead development of the Finance S/4 Data Quality strategy, and the roadmap for execution.

- Define data quality requirements, metrics, and processes for measuring and reporting across S/4 data objects.

- Assist in defining data profiling requirements and provide business interpretation of profiling outputs.
- Support Data Design teams in defining data standards through analysis of existing SAP ECC data sets.
- Define and document data problem statements and quality improvement plans.
- Oversee data quality issue management.
- Deliver relevant data quality enhancements at source to simplify S/4HANA data migration.
- Support impact assessments, design, and management of interim state reporting navigating through the split system landscape of partial S/4HANA and ECC deployment.
- Contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate strategy and execution plans.
- Define the scope of data cleansing and the data cleanse delivery approach, aligned to the cleanse and migrate strategy.
- Define the data quality organization and framework required to support ongoing monitoring and remediation of data.
- Ensure delivery aligns with the S/4 Data Governance framework where relevant.
- Contribute to the development of the S/4 Data Governance Strategy and Roadmap.
- Establish relevant “keep clean” capabilities into BAU.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Strong functional experience in data quality management including data quality rules, data quality reporting, issue management, and issue remediation.
- Specialist knowledge of data quality management principles and practices (including data profiling, data discovery, root cause analysis, designing, and implementing automated DQ solutions).
- Proven track record in applying leading-edge data quality enhancement capabilities covering profiling, analysis, migration, cleanse to land step-change in data quality.
- Experience in managing complex data quality analysis and improvement projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a diverse, global team, within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.
- Ability to lead and manage negotiations across a complex group, to a target outcome.
- Proven track record of delivery and ability to effectively prioritize to ensure goals and outcomes are achieved.
- Good understanding of Master Data Management and Reference Data Management.
- Ability to work with business users to elicit and formally define their requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to lead conflicting priorities.
- Working knowledge of SAP ECC Modules.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Good understanding of or experience in other data-related capabilities including data architecture, data analytics, data modeling, self-assessment, policy assurance, quality assurance, and control testing.
- Previous experience with data management tools.
- S/4 HANA implementation programme experience.
- Experience in life sciences and healthcare.
- Experience in Data Governance.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant key business processes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of transactions and reporting in an SAP environment, including an understanding of how data integrates within an SAP architecture.
- Understanding of data concepts and experience in data management capabilities including data lineage, data definitions, and data governance.
- Experience in Business/IT partnering for the implementation of Data Governance-related solutions.
