Reporting to the COO, you will lead the performance and service excellence agenda, driving continuous improvement and innovation across all GBS service lines. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, and accountability, embodying AstraZeneca’s values and commitment to high performance. Working in partnership with stakeholders worldwide, you will shape the future of our business services to deliver exceptional value to our colleagues, customers, and patients, ensuring that GBS remains a strategic enabler of AstraZeneca’s growth, resilience, and transformation.

Accountabilities:

• Create clear strategies for how we deliver Global Business Services, connecting goals and outcomes to AstraZeneca’s mission.

• Lead, coach, and motivate your team to develop new ideas, and support their growth and learning.

• Use new technology and practical solutions to simplify processes and improve how we work.

• Set and measure service standards so everyone knows what “good” looks like.

• Work with leaders across our sites to share best practices and ensure we are united as a global team.

• Make sure costs and budgets align with our service and financial goals.

• See risks early and work with others to solve them, keeping our business safe and compliant.

• Support an inclusive, diverse culture where everyone belongs and can do their best work.

• Keep our operating model flexible so we can adapt to future changes and opportunities.

Essential/Required Skills:

• 10+ years in senior Global Business Services roles across multiple functions.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver customer-focused service and strong performance outcomes.

• Experience in leading operational excellence programs and inspiring teams to meet productivity targets.

• In-depth knowledge of risk management, controls, and compliance frameworks.

• Skilled in implementing effective governance and business improvement initiatives.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Proven experience in budget management and cost efficiency.

• Track record of building inclusive, diverse, and successful teams.

• Confident communicator, able to work with many stakeholders and support change.

• Driven by results and motivated to lead in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working globally, especially in pharmaceuticals.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow performance management.

• Certified in Six Sigma, Lean, or similar quality practices.

• Skilled in building effective reporting solutions.
