As a Compliance Assurance Partner at AstraZeneca, you will help ensure our business stays true to its values by promoting ethical and compliant practices. You’ll report directly to the Regional Assurance Lead for Europe & Canada and work together with cross-functional teams to strengthen our risk management culture. Your role will be key in identifying risks, supporting investigations, and shaping business practices across multiple markets. Every day, your decisions will help us protect both our reputation and our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and execute effective risk assessment and monitoring plans in line with AstraZeneca’s compliance strategy.
Deliver timely risk evaluations and provide actionable insights to the Ethics & Compliance team and business leaders.
Develop and oversee mitigation strategies emerging from assessment findings.
Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities.
Lead and support strategic compliance investigations across European and Canadian markets.
Collaborate closely with Ethics & Compliance partners during investigations and follow-up actions.
Work cross-functionally to support remediation and corrective efforts.
Partner with the Global Compliance Investigations team on matters of shared focus.
Participate in major projects and initiatives across the Global Assurance function.
Take on other tasks as needed to advance a culture of ethical business.
Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent.
Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated fields, including relevant regulations.
Experience in compliance, risk assessment, monitoring, or investigations.
Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
Excellent business acumen, with the ability to apply compliance knowledge to practical business situations.
Effective communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and across functions.
Comfortable working with and analyzing data.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment.
Willingness to tackle complex issues and meet deadlines.
Eagerness to learn about new aspects of the business.
Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Fluency in English.
Desirable Skills/Experience
AI and/or Data Analytics capabilities
Ability to conduct monitoring and investigations in additional languages (fluency or near fluency).
Experience interacting cross-culturally.
