Position: Country President, Israel

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel (On site)

Join AstraZeneca as Country President for Israel and lead our ~$180M business across 5+ therapeutic areas with a team of 170 people. Reporting to the WESE Area VP and serving on the Area Leadership Team, you will set the vision and strategy for one of the top pharmaceutical companies in Israel, drive launches across our portfolio (including Oncology), and shape the national access environment to transform patient care.

What you’ll do:

Set the Vision

Define and execute bold strategies that align with AstraZeneca's global direction while addressing Israel's unique healthcare landscape. You'll translate long-term vision into actionable plans that drive sustainable, profitable growth.

Lead with Impact

Build and inspire a high-performing organization of 170+ professionals across marketing, sales, medical affairs, and market access. Develop future leaders while embedding a culture of ethics, integrity, and excellence.

Shape the External Environment

Serve as AstraZeneca's senior representative in Israel, engaging with government officials, policymakers, and healthcare system stakeholders to influence access, reimbursement, and healthcare policy.

Drive Commercial Excellence

Oversee budget planning, sales forecasting, and operational execution across all functions. Optimize resources, manage complexity, and deliver exceptional financial and operational results.

Build Strategic Partnerships

Co-create value through impactful collaborations across the healthcare ecosystem, positioning AstraZeneca as the partner of choice for innovation and patient centred solutions.

What You Bring (Essential Experience):

Proven Leadership Excellence

• Track record of leading a small-to-medium country operation or large business unit with P&L >$100M

• Depth of knowledge and expertise in Oncology and one or more therapeutic areas (TA), including launch experience in Israel

• Developed and executed TA or brand strategies globally, demonstrating strong organisational acumen, patient-centricity and scientific knowledge.

• Demonstrated success in delivering sustained commercial performance and building high-performing teams

• Experience managing significant risk and complexity with a systematic risk management approach

Strategic & Commercial Acumen

• Deep expertise in one or more therapeutic areas, with launch experience (Oncology experience highly valued)

• Success developing and executing global brand or TA strategies in emerging and/or mature markets

• Strong understanding of market access dynamics and healthcare policy

External Influence & Reputation Management

• Proven ability to build relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and key external stakeholders

• Experience shaping healthcare policy and navigating complex political and regulatory environments

• Track record as a trusted, credible voice in the healthcare industry

Innovation Mindset

• Entrepreneurial approach to developing new business models and challenging the status quo

• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make data-driven decisions in complex environments
