IBEX (Innovation & Business Excellence) unit’s main mission is to boost Commercial Excellence & drive Excellence in Execution among sales and marketing teams in AstraZeneca Israel.

In addition, in IBEX we drive growth mindset to deliver targets and improve agility across all departments.

This position is within the IBEX unit, and is responsible for the oversight, strategic direction, and leadership of the training programs supporting the sales force teams, to meet the needs across the Israeli market and maximize the sales force impact in the field.

The main responsibility is to develop a well-rounded training programs that includes business acumen, and other skills and capabilities required for success across our customer facing teams and ensure successful implementation.

The incumbent will work with sales, marketing, medical and other cross functional leaders in the affiliate, and across any related Alliance teams to create training and development strategies and ensures alignment with business unit priorities to program objectives.

This is a pivotal position with high impact within the organization, mainly considering the constantly changing business environment. This role requires 50% field time.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor, Master/MBA in relevant field
  • Expert in training and capabilities development (Working experience in a commercial Business Management role with a global sales organization- an advantage)
  • Extensive knowledge of sales training best practices (analysis, instructional design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Experience in managing external partners and vendors
  • Must have strong commercial and business acumen

Essential skills:

  • Ability to conduct trainings and coaching effectively and successfully
  • Excellence in Planning and execution of training programs
  • Deep interest for innovation and new tech, methods or business models, enabling Sales Force capabilities development
  • Strong Communication skills to all levels of the organization (i.e. verbal, written, and presentation), influencing cross functional teams
  • Comfortable leading Change / Change Management and holding others accountable
  • Critical thinking - ability to take complex problems or ideas and simplify
  • Ability to work independently
  • Results oriented with excellent collaboration skills
