What you’ll do
Directly supervises a groupof Area Sales Managers. Has responsibility for salesof overall geography. The focus is on business development and execution. Responsible for identifying business opportunities and developing talent for leadership positions.
Typical Accountabilities:
Set objectives, coach/mentor, and assess skill development of Area Sales Manager to ensure appropriate portfolio management
Ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded and operational budgets are managed at a regional level
Develop strategies and tactics in collaboration with Brand Teams to provide optimal resource allocation.
Develop Area Sales Managers to be viable candidates for future National Sales Manager positions
Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.
Essential for the role
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree is an advantage
Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, healthcare, brand team, or commercial function management
Demonstrated proven leadership skill, communication, budget management, presentation and negotiation skills
Desirable for the role
Previous exposure and/or experience in otherfunctional areas of the business
