Materials Specialist
Fusion Pharmaceuticals, a member of the AstraZeneca Group, is a clinical-stage oncology company focused on developing next-generation radioconjugates (RCs) as precision medicines. Fusion connects alpha particle emitting isotopes to various targeting molecules to selectively deliver the alpha emitting payloads to tumors. Fusion’s clinical portfolio includes: FPI-2265 targeting prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) for metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer currently in a Phase 2 trial; FPI-1434 targeting insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor currently in a Phase 1 trial; FPI-2059, a small molecule targeting neurotensin receptor 1 (NTSR1), currently in a Phase 1 trial; and FPI-2068, a bispecific IgG-based EGFR-cMET targeted radioconjugate currently in a Phase 1 trial. In addition, Fusion is pursuing combination programs between RCs and DNA Damage Response Inhibitors (DDRis) and immune-oncology agents. Fusion has a fully operational Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant state-of-the-art radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility to meet supply demand for Fusion's growing pipeline of RCs.
The Role. This role is critical for ensuring optimal materials management and compliance in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of supporting day-to-day material management while contributing to the ongoing success of production and clinical trial activities. The candidate should be adaptable, ready to take on tasks with minimal oversight, and able to work efficiently while learning and growing. Responsibilities:
Leads and owns the process of receiving, inspecting, and verifying materials upon arrival in the warehouse.
Ensure accurate labeling, storage, and organization of materials, including raw materials, ancillary, and finished products.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols for material handling and storage, including managing hazardous materials where applicable.
Work with the warehouse team to Issue materials to the manufacturing team.
Conducting regular inventory audits and stock counts.
Ensure proper packaging and preparation of materials for shipment or delivery to production areas.
Maintain accurate documentation of all materials, shipments, and movements in line with GMP and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely availability of materials for production needs and clinical trials.
Communicate with the supply chain team to address any material shortages or discrepancies.
Provide regular updates to supervisors or managers on inventory levels, material usage, and any issues in the warehouse.
Assist in identifying and suggesting improvements to warehouse operations, material handling processes, and inventory management systems.
Cross functional collaboration with clinical supply chain, QA, Manufacturing and Logistics.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in material and warehouse management, ideally within a biotech, pharmaceutical, or radiopharmaceutical setting.
Experience with SAP as a key / end user is required.
Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory guidelines governing material handling in the biotech/pharma industry.
Proficiency in Excel and other data analytical skills is a must.
Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and material handling procedures.
Willingness to learn and grow.
Ability to lift and move materials (up to 40 Pounds) and follow safe lifting procedures.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from $102,880.00 to $154,320.00. Fusion Pharmaceuticals, a member of Astra Zeneca PLC, is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long term incentive program (in applicable to the role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks paid vacation, and annual Personal Days.
