Regional Account Manager (Hematology, Nephrology, Transplantation) - Atlantic and Ottawa

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of patients with rare diseases? As a Regional Account Manager at Alexion Canada, you will be at the forefront of transforming care for PNH and aHUS patients in your territory. Your leadership will drive rapid diagnosis, establish new therapeutic standards, and ensure timely access to treatment. You will manage key accounts, build strategic relationships with Key External Experts, and collaborate across various functions.

Your mission includes creating innovative referral pathways and strengthening the rare Hematology-Nephrology-Transplant ecosystem. With your proactive leadership and growth mindset, you will inspire a positive team culture and exceed patient and business performance goals. Upholding the highest ethical standards, you will position Alexion Canada as a trusted partner that prioritizes patients.

Accountabilities:

- Communicate effectively using persuasion and influence skills to promote disease awareness, faster diagnosis, and new standards of care, including differentiating Alexion’s approved therapies.

- Utilize insights and analytics to tailor customer plans by segment, setting clear objectives, actions, and milestones.

- Develop and execute strategic plans for customers and key accounts to exceed patient and business targets, identifying opportunities to enhance care paths within your territory.

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align objectives, coordinate activities, and deliver outstanding healthcare professional experiences.

- Translate national strategy into prioritized actions that are patient and healthcare professional-centric, driving measurable outcomes.

- Elevate the culture of the HNT team by sharing best practices, identifying opportunities and barriers, recommending ideas, and shaping national plans.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc preferred, B.A.) with at least 5 years experience in field-based sales and account management roles in complex and regulated spaces. Experience in Hematology, Nephrology, Rare Diseases, specialized care, transplantation is highly appreciated.

- Analytic and results-driven with accountability and ownership; self-directed collaborator with strong business and scientific acumen.

- Documented track record of delivering exceptional sales results; ability to establish credibility and trust with healthcare professionals.

- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency for patients; well-organized and excels in diverse team environments.

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); influence and persuasion skills to address customer needs.

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Ability to travel within territory regularly, including frequent overnight and weekend travel (up to 50%).

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 126,162.40 to 165,588.15.

The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
