Business Insights Manager
Role Summary
The Business Insights Manager (BIM) is a strategic partner in the success of the therapeutic area portfolio. The BIM brings, through a strong business understanding, valuable business insights, innovative solutions and data driven monitoring guidance to the CVRM strategy. She or he directs all analytical activities of the CVRM portfolio in close collaboration with the brand teams. She or he is a key partner for the Business Unit Director & Franchise Lead in projecting and succeeding the strategy.
Job Responsibilities (to include key result areas, specific accountabilities, tasks, etc.)
The job is structured around five key areas:
Market Insights
- Define, align and drive Brand Market Research Plan for promoted brands, launch brands or new indications as well as pharmacovigilance market research process (monthly AZ reporting)
- Monitor monthly brand performance through strategic data analysis, monthly brand performance dashboard and automation of data processing
- Active participation in the Brand Team
- Co-lead Brand Plan exercise
- Co-lead data strategy
- Co-lead and create key account monitoring optimisation with First Line Sales Manager (FLSM) and Brand Managers (BMs)
- Propose CI monitoring plan and follow execution
Customer Excellence and Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)
- Drive Segmentation & Targeting (S&T) strategy
- Define S&T strategy with marketeers and lead the implementation and successful deployment of new profiling data, in close collaboration with FLSM
- Drive Call Plan process
- Propose strategy, provide guidelines and support to sales forces
- Challenge the outcomes of the Call Plan
- Ensure S&T data ready in CRM tool
- Monitor SFE KPIs by/and identifying business needs/challenges and monthly regional performance analysis
- Drive the incentive plan for the salesforce
- Collaborate to move from a standard SFE to Customer Excellence Approach
Forecasting
- Plan the business, together with the BUD and the Finance Business Partner, by ensuring fact-based forecasting and sensitivity analyses
- Build forecasting around insights from e.g. product launches, medical insights, sales development, pricing, customer trends and phase out
- Business analysis to identify trends, opportunities and gaps
- Work closely with global Business Analyst and Insight team to ensure alignment with global forecast models
- Provide leadership to ensure pro-active input to high quality treatment/patient journey
Sales Incentives
- Define and monitor the sales incentive policies
- Define (regional) sales targets per business cycle
- Monitor sales versus target evolution in close collaboration with the FLSM
Advanced analytics + AI
- Pilot, experiment and learn on advanced analytical and AI capabilities.
- Set up impactful pilots and measure impact.
- Identify automation and standardization opportunities
- Partner with WESE colleagues and Global teams to support the roll-out and pilots of data harmonization initiatives, tools and performance reviews

Education, Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Master’s Degree
- Languages: Fluent English. Additionally French or Dutch preferred
- Experience managing complex projects
- Proven Business Analytics experience
Desirable
- Understanding of the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products in Belux
- Understanding of the Belgium and Luxembourg Healthcare environmen
