IT Infrastructure Engineer - Evinova

Evinova, a healthtech leader under the AstraZeneca Group, is looking for a highly organized and people-focusedIT Infrastructure Engineerwith a strong background in Agile methodologies and team facilitation. This role will act as a Scrum Master, drive JIRA management, and ensure effective workflows for our engineering teams building state-of-the-art SaaS infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about orchestrating modern DevOps and Platform Operation and other IT teams, enabling innovation, and championing best practices in delivery management.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Scrum Master), you will:

  • Scrum Master Duties: Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives), remove impediments, and ensure adherence to Agile principles.

  • JIRA Management:Own the configuration and ongoing management of JIRA projects/boards, ensure tickets are up-to-date, coordinate backlog grooming, track progress and trends, and prepare regular status reporting.

  • Team Enablement: Coordinate cross-functional teams (including DevOps, Operations, Cloud Security engineers), help prioritize workloads, and identify dependencies and blockers.

  • Workflow Optimization: Monitor and improve engineering workflows and processes, driving the adoption of best practices in ticket management and team collaboration.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the point of contact between product owners, engineering teams, and leadership—ensuring clear communication, transparent progress, and prompt escalation of critical issues.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and present team performance metrics (velocity, cycle time, etc.), and recommend improvements for efficiency and delivery consistency.

  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of reflection, adaptation, and learning within the team—facilitating retrospectives and driving actionable improvements.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in IT, DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud-focused environments, with at least 2 years acting as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.

  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience administering and configuring JIRA for technical teams (project setup, boards, custom workflows, reporting).

  • Familiarity with the demands of SaaS or cloud-based development environments.

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and ability to coach others in their adoption.

  • Excellent organization skills, with an ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and priorities.

  • Proven experience supporting technical teams, tracking delivery, and improving team performance.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to facilitate meetings and foster collaboration.

  • Working proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (life sciences, healthcare, fintech) or with compliance-driven projects (GXP, GDPR, HIPAA).

  • Exposure to basic infrastructure or DevOps concepts and terminology (AWS, Azure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, etc.), but hands-on expertise is not mandatory.

  • Familiarity with additional collaboration tools (Confluence, Slack, MS Teams, etc.).

  • Formal Scrum Master or Agile-related certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.).
