Job Title: Specialist, Clinical Biologics - 2nd shift

Location: Gaithersburg, MD USA

Shift: This role is 2nd shift, M-F, 2PM to 11PM EST

Accountabilities

  • Operate and train others on manufacturing equipment such as incubators, bioreactors, filtration skids, chromatography skids, mixers, centrifuges, washers, autoclaves, tanks, and testing instruments.

  • Monitor process parameters, contribute to investigations, troubleshoot during processing, and recommend solutions.

  • Serve as the "Subject Matter Expert" in unit operations to enhance quality, ensure safety, and drive process efficiency and accuracy.

  • Support process improvement initiatives and author or revise standard operating procedures.

  • Review executed Production Records for accuracy and completion.

  • Utilize MS Office tools and AZ enterprise systems effectively.

Essential Skills/Experience

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree in a science field with 4+ years' experience; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Ability to work 2nd shift, M-F, 2PM to 11PM EST


Skills/Abilities:

Upstream

  • Proficient in cell culture operations such as Biosafety Cabinet Operation, Cell Banking, Bioreactor Operations, Aseptic Technique, and Centrifuge Harvest Operations.

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment and lead a team of peers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Support Services  

  • Proficient in preparation and filtration of production scale buffer and media solutions.

  • Proficient in the operation of all area-specific production equipment such as parts washers, autoclaves, fixed and portable stainless-steel tanks, etc.

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment and lead a team of peers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from 81,992.80 - 122,989.20 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
