Senior Global Procurement Analyst
You will support the growing portfolio of AstraZeneca's Cell Therapy pipeline across several global sites. The candidate will be responsible for procurement operations, performing supplier risk assessments, supplier relationship management and designing and deploying supplier development and improvement plans. You work cross functionally with team members including Manufacturing, MSAT, Global Supply Chain and external stakeholders and suppliers supporting the Cell Therapy goals and team goals of AstraZeneca. You will report to the Director of Cell Therapy Supplier Development. This position could be located in Gaithersburg, MD or Santa Monica, CA.
You Will:
Collaborate with internal and external partners in procurement of goods and services supporting cell therapy business units of AstraZeneca
Design and deploy supplier performance and development strategy to ensure AstraZeneca has robust, resilient and reliable supplier base
Implement risk assessment and tracking strategy for critical Cell Therapy suppliers along with supplier relationship management and risk mitigation strategies
Collaborate with Global Sourcing to ensure the execution of the sourcing strategy, primarily the enforcement of preferred vendors, pricing, and any contractual obligations
Collaborate with Global Planning to synchronize procurement activities with demand forecasts and inventory targets
Collaborate with Site Supply Chain teams to align procurement activities with site receiving and other site-based considerations
Issue purchase orders for direct materials, indirect materials, equipment, and services for manufacturing sites
Escalate any critical supplier delivery or quality issues to Global Sourcing and help with resolution
Help Manage the new vendor onboarding process to ensure new vendors are setup to ensure uninterrupted clinical supply
Manage any performance improvements to the ERP purchasing module and punchout catalogs
Contribute to the establishment of purchasing policies and provide ad hoc training and support for internal customers
You Have:
4+ years of CGT operations, supply chain, procurement, or related experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry with a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or similar fields
2+ years of CGT operations, supply chain, procurement, or related experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry with a master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or similar fields
Experience to cell therapy, gene therapy or biologics operations
Experience with enterprise systems such as Coupa, SAP, Oracle NetSuite or similar
High level of Microsoft Excel proficiency
Can work independently and under general direction to accomplish objectives
Can be a primary contact on projects or business processes
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, organization and project management skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly fluid company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $86,670.40 to $130,005.60. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
