HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hours/week)
DUTIES: Analyze datasets and develop methods for optimizing novel conjugation and purification methodologies, including high throughput conjugation and purifications. Perform discovery and optimization of next generation biologics to create biological drug candidates for all key therapeutic areas. Design and perform drug conjugation experiments to support the antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) pipeline and technology development. Use FPLC (fast protein liquid chromatography) and ATKA (affinity chromatography for protein purification) to purify mg to gram scale conjugates using various chromatography techniques. Perform biochemical and biophysical characterization of the ADCs. Present findings.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field, plus six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, as an Associate Scientist or in a related occupation. Must possess at least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in all of the following: Providing quality control and assay validation, Developing and optimizing conjugation and purification methodologies, Utilizing analytic methods to characterize conjugates including DLS, SEC, HIC, LC-MS, Assessing Antibody-Drug-Conjugate (ADC) Assay Development, Developing methods to determine and evaluate drug candidates, and Utilizing routine DNA/RNA techniques. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field, plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered, as an Associate Scientist or in a related occupation.
