We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our Group within Integrated Bioanalysis. You will be a key contributor as a scientist in the lab utilizing Mass Spectrometry-based and ligand binding assay approaches for advancing our drug pipeline and working with a diverse group of scientist across all multidiscipline drug development teams.

The position is in our Integrated Bioanalysis Group which is a part of the Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Science Department and is responsible for providing high quality, decision driving data using a variety of platform technologies. The group operates in both GxP and non-GxP environments supporting lead candidate selection through post marketing. Our team primarily focusses on pre-GLP bioanalyses along with exploratory biomarkers assessments for early clinical across all therapeutic areas. We have a diverse array of scientists working across many technologies to ensure delivery of critical assays, and data analysis that drive go/no go decisions and ensure the right combination of medicines get to the right patient, in the right dose, at the right time.

What you’ll do:

• This position will involve in delivering pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) and proteomics biomarker activities in the laboratory and through outsourcing to better understand drug actions and their association with pharmacodynamics and clinical response.
• Your main responsibility will be in the lab, executing, developing, and optimizing assays to support drug program transition through lead selection and into clinical trials.
• Candidate is expected to be able to collaborate in a matrix organization to deliver scientific and operational objectives.

Required for the role: 
• A highly motivated scientist with BS/MS in biochemistry or other relevant discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience or Ph.D with 0+ year of experience that required mass spectrometry assay, sample preparation and data interpretation skills. 
• Experience with mass spectrometry and chromatography (e.g. HPLC) and ligand binding assays (e.g. ELISA, MSD). 
• Prepare, analyze and present data internally.  
• Attention to detail, good communication, and collaboration skills. 
• Outstanding record keeping and organizational skills are critical for success.
• An ability to think and act creatively- independently.

Desirable for the role:
• Experience with assay development for complex molecules such as antibody drug conjugates (ADC), proteins and peptides.
• Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry platforms highly desirable.
• Operational experience with broader Immunoassays e.g. Luminex, multiplex assays etc.
• Good multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills are desirable.
• GxP experience.
