Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains a strong, transparent, and effective working relationship between maintenance & facilities, metrology, manufacturing, R&D, finance, internal support, and regulatory groups.
  • Takes part in, or leads, continuous improvement initiatives to maximize parts inventory program efficiency.  
  • Works with Purchasing to qualify new vendors and materials, by gathering and evaluating specification information.
  • Procures MRO supplies and spare parts based on re-order report and/or material reservations in SAP.
  • Helps identify parts required for repairs; and performs necessary research such as vendor, price, and lead time.
  • Create and maintain MRO processes within and across departments to provide a reliable storeroom of critical spare parts.
  • Advise responsible personnel of any problems, delays, etc., that could affect plant operations or delivery of product to customers.
  • Performs cycle counting, and year-end inventory audits.
  • Coordinate stocking, labeling, and kitting of spare parts in parts room.
  • Oversee the issue and return of parts and materials.
  • Set up and organize parts storeroom for most efficient storage and distribution.
  • Responsible for tracking and assisting in the development of the inventory budget.
  • Perform housekeeping as needed to ensure parts room is well-maintained.
  • Comply with all safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing with MRO – Maintenance Parts Management
  • Proficient knowledge working with SAP PM module and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mathematical, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Practical problem-solving abilities
  • General understanding of pharmaceutical equipment, GMP and GDP, and metrology, facilities, & process maintenance
  • Physical ability to walk; work with hands; reach above shoulder height; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • Experience supervising a small team in inventory management
