Medical Communications & Information Content Manager (Medical Writing)

Accountabilities:
- Therapeutic Area Mastery: Demonstrate deep understanding of assigned therapy areas and our asset portfolio, connecting content to the scientific context and medical strategic vision.
- Storytelling and Channel Craft: Translate sophisticated science into clear, engaging messages tailored to slides, Q&As, infographics, interactive content and other formats that are discoverable and impactful.
- Digital and AI-Enabled Creation: Employ digital skills and leverage AI responsibly to improve content speed, quality and consistency across channels.
- Content Plan Execution: Collaborate with MC&I leaders and content development specialists to deliver against the therapeutic area content strategy and maintain robust content plans.
- Align all deliverables with cancer-related principles, the scientific narrative, and MC&I priorities to ensure accuracy, coherence and relevance.
- Access and Payer Communications: Build and review submissions to external Drug Information resources and Evidence-Based Practice centers; support and author compendia submissions in partnership with the Medical Affairs team.
- Assist with US launch activities and congress needs from planning to delivery. Provide staffing for the MC&I booth at scientific meetings to gain insights and ensure consistent messaging.
- Collaborator Partnership: Collaborate with Medical Affairs, GMA/USMA and partner functions; disseminate content plans and updates across global and local markets to drive alignment.
- Complete deliverables in your area to a high standard and on schedule. Proactively identify risks and raise issues with Content Strategists when needed.
- Insight to Action: Use insights from the field, congresses, and data evaluation to continuously refine and improve content relevance and performance.
- Team Enablement: Help orient new team members and support team integration, encouraging shared ways of working and operational perfection.
Crucial Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrate scientific and business expertise relevant to therapeutic areas, including knowledge about existing assets and pipeline
- Expertise in translating sophisticated scientific concepts into storytelling messages in various channels and formats
- Ability to demonstrate and apply digital expertise while bringing to bear all forms of AI to improve content creation, delivery and efficiency
- Assist MC&I Directors and Content Strategists with tactical execution of the TA content strategy plan
- Supports the maintenance of content plans
- Stay abreast with the latest changes and trends in the field of therapy, including regulatory and compliance, to meet content needs
- Support US launch and congress deliverables
- Collaborate with key collaborators, including Medical Affairs and other partner functions
- Provide staffing support for the MC&I exhibit during scientific conferences
- Complete deliverables within their focus area, ensuring timely, high quality of assets
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in life sciences, pharmacy or related field
- Experience in oncology medical communications and familiarity with oncologic principles
- Track record developing managed market materials and supporting compendia submissions
- Experience supporting US launches and major scientific congresses, including booth staffing
- Proficiency with medical content management systems and collaborative platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, MLR workflows)
- Working knowledge of US medical regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Practical experience using generative AI and analytics to improve content discoverability and performance
- Strong stakeholder management across Global and US Medical Affairs
