Introduction to role
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the volume and demand planning, master scheduling, and order management within a manufacturing site or region? As a Manager in Material Management, you'll be an expert in utilizing scheduling systems to maintain the master schedule effectively. Your leadership will ensure seamless operations and drive improvements in material management processes.
Accountabilities
Lead cross-functional teams and oversee day-to-day operations of the material management center.
Ensure raw materials are delivered to end users to meet the production schedule, including off-site deliveries to other AZ sites, off-site storage, and CMOs.
Guarantee all procedures meet the requirements of standards and regulations, including Safety, Health, and Environment
Identify and track key performance metrics.
Maintain accurate raw material inventory stored under appropriate conditions.
Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
Identify and implement continuous improvement activities.
Delegate work assignments to team members for receiving dock, material picking, GMP, and non-GMP deliveries.
Maintain staff certification of forklift and CDL.
Author quality management documents: change controls (CCs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), deviations
Participate in start-up and validation efforts for new equipment and/or GMP areas.
Take initiative to resolve complex problems and make recommendations, and promote implementation of complex technologies.
Negotiate and drive consensus with others.
Prepare and deliver more complex presentations cross-functionally.
Serve as SME for the warehouse module in SAP, and provide support to resolve SAP consumption issues.
Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of warehouse or supply
chain logistics experience or High school diploma plus 8
years of warehouse or supply chain logistics experience
GMP experience
Previous supervisory experience
Knowledge of material planning & execution systems
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical production supply chain principles, Food and Drug Administration requirements (or equivalent), Customs rules and regulations
Audit experience
Desirable Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Hazmat certification/experience
APICS certification

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $83,972 to $125,959. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
