Global MSL Excellence Director- Oncology
Are you ready to make an impact? Join us as a Global MSL Excellence Director for Oncology. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring the strategic alignment of MSL activities and the development, delivery, and reporting of prioritised MSL Excellence initiatives. You will work in collaboration with the OBU Medical Excellence teams, Global Medical Affairs Leaders, and Field Medical Leaders to provide strategic direction, implement programs to build Oncology-specific MSL and MSL Leader capabilities, and shape the future field medical role in Oncology.
Accountabilities:
You will lead the evolution and implementation of Field Medical professional development & continual learning programmes. You will entrench robust insight generation, capture and reporting across Local markets to strengthen business impact and value. You will scope and advise functionality enhancements for systems/digital tools to support in-field efficiency and external engagement. You will also provide robust strategic guidance and insights to collaborators regarding the diverse needs of Field Medical worldwide.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree in scientific discipline (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MD), preferably with Oncology focus
- Experience (~5 years) in an MSL organization, including leadership of Field Medical teams
- Experience in Global and/or Local Head Office Medical Affairs roles
- Experience working in the oncology therapeutic area
- Strong knowledge of medical strategy, clinical development, MSL role and Medical Affairs
- Experience and ability to provide strategic leadership across working groups and teams
- Exceptional project management skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
- Effective problem solving using creative solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to influence without authority
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in MSL performance management and outcomes-based reporting
- Design of programmes that support the management, leadership and coaching of hard-working individuals and teams
- Clear understanding of the compliance requirements and governing bodies for MSL programs
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $278,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
