Employment Compliance Senior Specialist

As a Reasonable Accommodation & Employment Compliance Specialist, you will administer the full lifecycle process associated with medical and religious accommodations. This includes reviewing ADA requests for accommodation, engaging with employees in the interactive process, and providing an organizational decision on the accommodation to the leave and disability vendor and employee. You will manage complex ADA requests and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to job protection and accommodating employees with disabilities. This role will also lead US employment compliance programs and serve as a trusted advisor to HR and COE functions.

Accountabilities:
In this role, you will handle intake of accommodation requests, send required notices, forms, and letters, and determine employee eligibility. You will coordinate with Managers and HR Business Partners to evaluate the need for potential accommodations. You will also be responsible for drafting correspondence and documenting all stages of the accommodation request process. Additionally, you will advise managers and employees on the interaction of the various leave entitlements and the ADA.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- US labor postings and notices: ensure compliance for federal, state, and local labor law posting requirements across all US locations (including field). Maintain the postings portal/process and ensure timely updates.
- Statutory surveys and certificates: Complete mandatory employment-related surveys; manage and submit any required state workforce certificates/registrations; track deadlines and retain documentation.
- New-hire and termination notices: Ensure delivery of all required federal, state, and local new-hire and separation notices; monitor changes and update templates/processes accordingly.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent years of experience.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience handling the interactive process for accommodation requests submitted pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Experience managing the interaction of family medical leave entitlements in conjunction with the application of an employee’s rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
