We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Global Commercial Diagnostics to join our Global Commercial Dx team. This pivotal role helps channel our scientific capabilities to generate a positive impact and improve patients’ lives. As Director, Global Commercial Diagnostics, you will support commercial activities across key indications for our launch brands, with a focus on diagnostics for our Gastric and Bispecific oncology portfolio. You will collaborate across multiple functions and geographies to ensure best-in-class diagnostics capabilities aligned to commercial and patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of the global Commercial Diagnostics Strategy for gastric indications and the bispecifics oncology portfolio, ensuring alignment with franchise brand plans and commercial objectives.
Drive the creation and implementation of commercialization and marketing plans for each diagnostic, focused on launch readiness, growth, and maximizing patient impact.
Collaborate closely with franchise commercial teams, medical affairs, R&D, insights & analytics, market access, and local market affiliates to coordinate and optimize diagnostic initiatives globally.
Build and nurture partnerships with external oncology stakeholders, including patient advocacy and policy groups, diagnostic developers, key opinion leaders, and HTA/payer organizations to enhance diagnostics capabilities and value proposition.
Provide strategic and operational leadership to address challenges and opportunities in biomarker testing adoption, patient journeys, and the diagnostic sample testing pathway.
Enable markets to develop and execute effective strategies to drive awareness, adoption, access, availability, and accuracy of biomarker testing that inform and improve patient treatment.
Gather and leverage internal and external insights to inform strategy, monitor performance, and adjust tactics to maximize effectiveness and impact.
Lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and execution across multiple functions and geographies.
Represent diagnostics strategy and progress in key business meetings and ensure the timely delivery of critical presentations and updates to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field.
10 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or diagnostics marketing.
Demonstrated track record in diagnostics launch and commercialization, particularly in oncology.
Proven team-oriented leader with excellent written and verbal communication abilities and the capability to influence across all levels within a matrix environment.
Global or in-market experience in developing and executing commercial strategies for diagnostics.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to transform analysis into actionable strategy.
Thorough understanding of drug development and commercialization processes and the evolving biomarker landscape.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA) in a relevant discipline.
Global marketing experience, including diagnostic and therapeutic launches.
In-market launch experience.
Solid technical background in diagnostics development and biomarker science.
This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters for the US and Global Oncology Business Units. The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303 – $343,954 USD. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
