Scope:

Responsible for maintaining knowledge of upstream / downstream / central services processing equipment according to established SOPs and driving continuous improvement opportunities. The Process Lead is the operational subject matter expert to represent the shift and/or functional area as needed for major investigations and CAPAs.

  • Direct on-floor support to maintain knowledge of processing equipment through Genba and troubleshooting efforts
  • Qualified in Lead Technician duties and on-floor coaching
  • On the floor manufacturing execution as needed/requested by Area Manager
  • Facilitate Operational Excellence Lean Journey within Operations
  • Operational subject matter expert for major investigations, and owner of Quality systems records (i.e. CAPA, Change Control, Assessments, etc.)
  • Trend process performance to assess batch performance, and engagement in Manufacturing Governance meetings
  • Lead and engage in continuous improvement projects, and support the training on implementation of new processes/equipment
  • Author, review and approve batch records and direct SOPs for manufacturing
  • Problem solving facilitator for process and equipment-related troubleshooting
  • Identify and execute standardized work and process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned or identified by Area Manager

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in relevant field preferred; AS degree in relevant field plus experience acceptable

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years (with Bachelors) biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience in process development, manufacturing, or similar role;
  • 8 – 10 years with Associates degree.
