Manager, GFS P&MR (Planning & Management Reporting) Ireland Team

Position Summary

The Manager will be a key member of the Alexion Global Finance Services (GFS) planning and management reporting team providing financial and business insights, guidance, and decision support to the EUCAN and INTL Region. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, while utilizing his/her experience to bring value ad to the business. This position is located at our offices in Dublin, Ireland and will have substantial interaction across various functions and geographies.

The key focus of the position is to provide financial guidance in the form of planning and forecasting analysis to support the business, with the ability to work cross functionally while continuously assessing current tasks for any potential process improvements.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team and gain great insights into the structure and operations of AstraZeneca’s Alexion Rare Disease Unit. The successful individual will need to be a self-starter, keen to learn, flexible and able to operate in a very dynamic environment.

Business Area

Alexion (AstraZeneca Rare Disease) is a high growth bio-pharmaceutical company with operations in over 40 countries worldwide. The GFS P&MR Ireland team will be part of the AZ Global Finance Services (GFS) finance function. We are accountable to the AZ Alexion Group for the design and delivery of high quality, efficient transactional finance processes which, combined with exceptional business analysis and insight, enable our customers to focus on AZ's strategic priorities. Our remit covers record to report, planning, forecasting and management reporting.

As a manager, you will play an essential role in supporting your Senior Manager in the delivery of the team objectives. You will be expected to build and maintain a strong relationship with internal customers and Business Partners.

What you will do:

· GFS lead to support consolidation reporting for the EUCAN & INTL region

· Support month-end and quarter-end performance reviews for the region

· Coordinate and support the regional forecasting cycles (4 cycles)

· Ensure data accuracy and implement controls to adhere to guidance from FP&A Enterprise Team

· Act as a SME for the Monthly and Forecasting reporting templates provided to INTL stakeholders

· Manage centralised activities relating to PEQs (Patient Equivalent) reporting & OPEX management.

· Work closely with the regional stakeholders based in Dublin & Baar to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of results

· Driving Lean initiatives. Identification of automation possibilities related to existing processes and implement them using relevant tools (MS Excel, Power BI).

· Provide insight of financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting

· Manage master data, hierarchies, and reconcile multiple sources of data to enable quality reporting

· Support regional ad-hoc projects & requests as needed

· Provide coaching and mentoring to a direct report within the GFS team

Who we are looking for:

· Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA)

· Bachelor’s degree

· 3+ years PQE experience preferably in share service or FP&A environment

· Excellent communication, presentation (storytelling) and interpersonal skills

· Proven ability to perform in an ambitious, Dynamic/Fast paced environment while emphasizing teamwork

· Proven leadership skills with experience influencing and impacting with teams of professionals remotely

· The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours

We would prefer for you to have:

· Experience using SAP, Anaplan and Qlik a plus

· Demonstrated success in a deadline driven, mutli-task environment

· Can-do attitude and attention to detail

· Ability to deal with ambiguity, simplify messages, embrace change and be comfortable working in a high growth, fast paced and multi-task environment

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
