Global Strategic Sourcing (Ops) Senior Manager Clinical External Manufacturing and Supply Category - Cork or Dublin
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of clinical external manufacturing and supply? As a Global Strategic Sourcing (Ops) Senior Manager, you will partner with business owners to implement global sourcing and category strategies. Your role will involve managing sourcing, contracts, and business relationships, conducting spend analysis, and supporting business case development. You will work closely with various teams to gather and assess budget and spend forecasts, ensuring the timely supply of business processes and services.
Accountabilities
- Business Partnership: Manage assigned sourcing, contract, and business relationships, gaining a comprehensive understanding of business owner requirements.
- Leadership/Business Function Support: Promote and support Product Development and Clinical Supply (PDCS) business partners on sourcing and procurement policies, procedures, and business processes.
- Sourcing, Negotiation, and Business Performance Management: Lead implementation of sourcing initiatives, review internal business partner requests, solicit and evaluate proposals, and support contract negotiations.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated sourcing, procurement, negotiation, and contracting leadership in External Contract Manufacturing GMP Pharma environment.
- Demonstrated category management experience within CDMO, CMO, and CLO areas with direct experience in contract negotiations, business issue resolution, and supplier relationship management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional global teams.
- Demonstrated project management skills to oversee a multiplicity of tasks.
- Excellent understanding of commercial business processes, innovation, and continuous improvements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory requirements as they relate to the Biotech/Pharma manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership, presentation, and communication skills with proven ability to influence at executive level.
- Ability to travel 10%.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Procurement or equivalent with relevant external contract manufacturing experience.
- Ideally 5 - 8 years’ experience in a Multi-National GMP sourcing & external manufacturing environment.
