We are currently seeking a Business Insights Manager (BIM) to join our Innovation & Business Excellence (IBEX) team. This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decisions across our commercial and medical functions, with a growing focus on complex therapy areas such as oncology, where market dynamics are rapidly evolving.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The role of BIM involves being accountable for developing and communicating actionable analytics and insights that effectively shape brand strategies and tactics in specific therapy area(s). The second key aspect of the role is to improve our ways to measure and track performance and effectiveness of our salesforce and digital selling execution. The job holder acts as the business partner connecting Business Intelligence, Commercial Marketing & Sales, Medical and Finance.
Other responsibilities:
Market Insights (60%)
- Integrate multiple data sources (e.g. internal sales data, sell-out data, household-panel data, market research studies, advanced analytical models, Rx tracking) to generate actionable insights.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in dynamic markets, including oncology, where treatment pathways, access models, and stakeholder influence are shifting.
- Blends analytical, marketing, sales, and/or TA expertise and brings a “consultative” approach to the business
- Support brand strategy development with robust forecasting models that reflect real-world complexity and future market evolution.
- Measure marketing impact and conduct brand performance tracking
- Deliver compelling, insight-driven storytelling to influence brand planning, investment decisions, and go-to-market strategies.
- Effectively communicate those integrated insights and proactively provides strategic thought partnership to BU heads, brand leads, and sales about HCPs, patients, and payers
Salesforce effectiveness (40%)
- Support analysis of field deployment and targeting to ensure the field sales organization maximize opportunities
- Support pre-launch and commercial brand assessment through HCPs segmentation, opportunity sizing, targeting, and deep dive analyses
- Analyze business and team deployment on multiple quantitative and qualitative KPIs (sales-driven) and provide conclusive reports and recommendations adapted to the different needs of internal customers (BU Heads and Senior Management)
- Partner with Sales and Business Leadership to support on strategy and execute on business goals
- Manage continuous improvement of targeting, segmentation, sizing exercise, customers categorization (Go-To-Market) models, incentive planning and measurement across Business Units and brands
Essential for the role
- Degree in Business, Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals or FMCG.
- Proven expertise in market research, forecasting, and sales force effectiveness.
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills.
- Advanced Excel and data visualization capabilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Experience with CRM and commercial analytics platforms.
Desirable for the role
- Oncology experience is a strong advantage, given the increasing need for nuanced forecasting, stakeholder mapping, and understanding of evolving treatment landscapes.
- Sales experience is advantage
- Digital/Omnichannel/Multichannel experience is advantage
