– Associate Director, Supply Chain, Business Process Owner Market S&OP

Associate Director of Market S&OP Facilitator/Business Process Owner is responsible for leading and optimizing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes across Alexion Rare Disease markets and regions. This role involves facilitating S&OP meetings to ensure alignment between market demands and supply chain capabilities while collaborating with the Global S&OP Business Process Owner to set strategies. The individual will act as an ambassador for S&OP, ensuring processes are structured for clarity and standardization, capturing and communicating trends, insights, risks, and opportunities from monthly S&OPs. Additionally, the role involves managing all aspects of business process management, ensuring that processes are transparent, efficient, and globally accessible, while promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Accountabilities

- Strategic Leadership and Alignment: Work with the EPO to establish strategic direction for S&OP processes. Ensure these processes align with corporate objectives and drive value across the organization.

- Meeting Facilitation: Lead and facilitate market and regional S&OP meetings, ensuring productive discussions and effective decision-making. Ensure that all stakeholders are engaged and aligned on objectives, plans, and necessary actions.

- Ambassador for S&OP: Serve as a champion for S&OP processes, ensuring they are structured to facilitate seamless role transitions within the process network. Ensure clarity in expected roles, standardized methodologies, and performance metrics.

- Trend and Insight Communication: Capture and communicate trends, insights, risks, and opportunities identified in monthly market S&OPs to relevant stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic adjustments.

- Process Management Excellence: Lead the business process management (BPM) activities encompassing all five steps: design, modeling, execution, monitoring, and optimization, ensuring that processes are globally transparent, efficient, and effective.

- Network Coordination: Establish a well-defined process network, clearly identifying key participants and defining what constitutes good performance and the envisioned future state.

- Guidance and Communication: Ensure the organization's process management frameworks are accessible and comprehensible on a global scale. Reference and align with BPO job descriptions and objectives as outlined in the BPM portal/site.

- Fostering Improvement: Encourage knowledge sharing by promoting successful BPM stories and results, demonstrating the tangible benefits and impact of effective process management.

- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Set and monitor key performance indicators to assess S&OP effectiveness. Present findings and insights to senior leadership.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management or similar roles with a focus on S&OP and business process management.

- Experience operating cross-functionally with Global Finance and Commercial organizations.

- Strong leadership abilities, especially in setting process strategies and aligning cross-functional objectives.

- Experience facilitating high-level meetings and driving stakeholder engagement.

- Proficient in supply chain planning tools and technology.

- Excellent communication skills, with a capability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Proven track record of managing and optimizing business processes on a global scale.

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
