Additionally, the site offers a food delivery service through Foodsby, allowing employees to purchase food from a variety of local restaurants to be delivered to the site, which currently includes a discounted price for LSS employees.
The Material Handler (12 hour day shift with rotating schedule) is responsible for the coordination and execution of warehouse activities to include material receipt, sampling, stocking, documentation, temperature monitoring, and shipping of products; material staging and movement; delivery of customer non-inventory orders and all purchasing receipt functions in the SAP system. Responsible for all associated inventory receipt and shipping documentation as well as standard inventory reporting functions.
Purchase warehouse consumables (pallets, stretch wrap, banding, labels, etc.).
Complete daily checklists and maintain a clean and organized warehouse area.
Write, review and revise SOPs and/or work instructions and participate in problem solving activities.
Attend team meetings to discuss progress, initiatives and/or other matters and provide “off-shift” support and provide 24/7 “on-call” support to others.
Create transactions in SAP (receipts, transfers, shipments, destruction, adjustments/scrap, lookup, cycle counts).
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory counts of starting materials, packaging components, drug substance, and other inventoried items.
Allocate and stage materials for manufacturing activities.
Fork lift, pallet jack and drum lifter operations.
Review and/or verify logbook and form entries and writing minor deviations.
Participate in investigations (i.e. complaints, deviations, temperature excursions).
Report process deviations when they occur.
Maintain all required documentation in real time and assure inspection ready
Initiate appropriate action when process deviations occur.
Interact with regulatory agency personnel during audits and inspections.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Monitor equipment and/or systems for performance and problem indicators.
Weekly chart changes of temperature monitoring devices in the warehouse.
Receipt of chemicals (hazardous and non-hazardous) deliveries from road tanker trucks to onsite storage tanks.
Sampling from tank farm and tanker trucks and monitoring tank farm alarms.
Essential for the role:
High School Diploma or GED required and minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Experienced fork truck driver.
Ability to work overtime and weekends.
Desired for the role:
3-5 years preferred warehouse experience.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
MRP/ERP experience (SAP) preferred.
Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles preferred.
