As a Senior Integration Engineer focused on the Veeva Clinical Vault platform, you will turn complex clinical requirements into stable, secure and reusable integration capabilities that speed study execution and improve data flow.

You will join a high-energy, multi-functional team that pairs deep clinical expertise with modern engineering. Together, you will simplify a complex integration landscape, build and scale reliable pipelines, and embed standard methodologies that reduce incidents and increase delivery speed. Accountabilities:

  • Clinical Domain Consulting: Serve as a trusted advisor, translating clinical operations needs into practical, scalable VCV solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Agile Requirements and Design: Lead discovery and design in a scrum team, shaping clear user stories and solution designs that shorten cycle time and increase quality.

  • Integration Delivery: Implement through Design, Build, Test and Deploy to deliver regular releases and key platform initiatives with a focus on resiliency, observability and reusability.

  • VCV Extensions: Design and build extensions for Veeva Clinical Vault to accommodate custom business flows that unlock efficiency in study execution.

  • Security and Compliance: Ensure system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained, aligning integrations to compliance and data protection standards.

  • Landscape Simplification: Generate and implement ideas to streamline integrations in alignment with enterprise integration design and patterns, reducing technical debt and cost-to-serve.

  • Documentation Excellence: Maintain configuration specification documentation for both functional and integration configuration to ensure traceability and supportability.

  • Agile Tooling and Governance: Manage and update the JIRA board across the implementation lifecycle to maintain delivery transparency and predictability.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with the Integration Platform team to edit, update and maintain integration interfaces; work with the VCV technical team on API requirements, security setup and functional configuration.

  • Incident and Service Management: Solve day-to-day incidents and service requests, drive incident reduction and automation, and maintain complete records in ServiceNow for incidents, changes and problems.

  • Transition to BAU: Lead small modules through support transitions and ensure application stability when taking over BAU support of new applications.

  • Client Enablement: Provide guidance and consulting to clients on the best use of VCV during study execution and assist in preparing system-related specifications and documentation.

  • Operational Ownership: Handle day-to-day maintenance of application systems in operation, including proactive identification and fixing of application issues.

  • Integration Engineering: Build integration pipelines aligned with standard architectural patterns and create reusable artifacts; collaborate with the Integration DevOps Lead and vendor teams to build new integrations and manage existing ones.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 10-12 years relevant experience in clinical development and/ or software development environment preferred, with particular emphasis on Veeva Clinical Vault (VCV) experience.

  • End to end knowledge of clinical trial development processes and its associated system landscape.

  • Knowledge and experience in integration technologies – Mulesoft, Snaplogic.

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, AZURE

  • Knowledge of SQL to write queries to help understand the integration requirements to be enabled via API led integrations. within Platform.

  • Knowledge of support processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and experience working in support teams.

  • Atleast 10+ years of experience related to API Terminologies and API Integration – preferably Mulesoft & Snaplogic

  • Excellent SQL knowledge pertaining to Relational databases including RDS, Snowflake, PostGres

  • Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS.

  • Ensures following IT Service Delivery Framework adhered on AD activities.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meets deadlines, and work independently.

  • Strong problem-solving skill

  • Experience with process tools (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with people across the globe with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

  • Experience of working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban and SAFe.

  • Experience in integration of CI/CD processes into existing Change & Configuration Management scope (i.e. ServiceNow & Jira)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Veeva Clinical Vault modules and certifications.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical development processes and systems (e.g., eTMF, CTMS, EDC) and how they integrate with VCV.

  • Familiarity with GxP, validation (CSV), data privacy, and audit readiness for regulated environments.

  • Proficiency with APIs and integration technologies (REST, SOAP, event-driven patterns), and common middleware or iPaaS platforms.

  • Experience implementing CI/CD for integrations, automated testing, and observability/monitoring of pipelines.

  • Practical knowledge of security patterns for integrations (OAuth2, certificates, key management).

  • Scripting or development experience (e.g., Python, Java, Groovy) to accelerate automation and tooling.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms and services that host or support integration workloads.

  • Strong collaboration skills working with product owners, scrum masters, and vendor partners in distributed teams.
