As a Senior Consultant in the Commercial IT SSD Data, Analytics, and AI Critical Operations Team, you will be responsible for managing critical operations to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of key systems. You will work alongside a team of operations professionals, implementing standard methodologies, and developing strategies to maintain operational excellence under various conditions. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security & Business Teams to ensure alignment of critical operations with business objectives. Identify and help drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance automation to ensure products are delivered in a timely manner and of quality. Maintain working knowledge of platforms and business insight enabling balanced strategy-aligned roadmap management and prioritized backlog delivery.
Accountabilities:
Operations and Incident Management
Oversee the development and execution of incident response plans for critical systems
Lead the response to major incidents (P1/P2) system outages and critical failures and delays), ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on operations
Facilitate communication and coordination during critical incidents
Evaluate existing operational processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement
Implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency
Collaborate with Platform Success & DevOps teams to identify and mitigate operational risks
Ensure Critical Operations team is trained and is using the latest monitoring solutions to ensure real-time insight into product and platform health and performance
Service Introduction
Ensure comprehensive documentation is available for critical operations processes, procedures, and incident response plans
Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members
Ensure a structured knowledge transition process is established and followed for acceptance of new service requests
Essential Skills/Experience
Degree level education in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Demonstrable experience in a leadership role overseeing critical operations or IT operations
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations management
Experience with incident response frameworks and methodologies
Knowledge of data processing frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark, Databricks) and data storage solutions (e.g. data lakes, warehouses)
Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow)
Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skill in high-pressure situations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Customer engagement experience
Demonstrable experience in identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities
Working knowledge of Agile Software Development techniques and Methodologies
Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
