The S/4 Business Analyst is responsible for delivering data analysis and cleanse activities across a variety of data objects to ensure required data quality is achieved in preparation for migration to S/4 HANA.

The role will present the opportunity to work collaboratively within a team of Business Analysts, delivering data analysis and cleanse across a variety of data objects and workstreams.

To be successful role holder will:

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced excel skills including complex functions & pivot tables

  • Have proven experience in handling and co-ordinating large data volumes

  • Be able to interpret and solution complex data requirements

  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Have a strong attention to detail and work in a highly organised & structured manner

Typical Accountabilities

The Business Analyst will deliver data analysis and cleanse across a variety of data objects to ensure required data quality is achieved in preparation for migration to S/4 HANA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Translating detailed profiling results into data quality enhancement recommendations as well as fact based delivery effort assumptions, conveying complex data findings into simple messages and a compiling delivery case applying good data storytelling practice

  • Providing and/or assisting with robust data analyses and reconciliations to land and deliver relevant cleanse recommendations

  • Applying finance process and data management excellence to create well balanced Data Quality Enhancement delivery recommendations including the development of robust supporting presentation materials

  • Co-ordinating and execute the data cleansing process across the internal focused data cleanse team and with stakeholders; setting achievable individual goals, driving accountability and monitoring progress

  • Engaging relevant business stakeholders across Financial Controllers, GFS and selected business functions to close out open questions, agree cleanse recommendations and progress the required corrections into SAP

  • Establishing appropriate progress monitoring/reporting to enable process delivery, project tracking and stakeholder engagement/management

  • Driving data delivery by managing dependencies/risks/issues, removing blockers consider alternative solution options and pro-active escalation to senior management for final decision and action as required.

Essential

  • Strong data cleansing experience, complemented by working knowledge of finance & data processes

  • Strong data management skills, with an ability to handle and track high volume data models and files

  • Proven experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional results

  • Exceptional data analysis, visualisation and interpretation skills

  • Excellent Data storytelling skills conveying technical or complex concepts into simple messages and to non-data and/or non-finance experts

  • Confident and concise communication skills with stakeholder engagement experience at all levels.  Strong presentation and influencing skills

  • Advanced excel skills including complex formulas

  • High level of proficiency with other common business applications (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)

  • A natural problem solver with proven skills in translating data challenges into comprehensive resolution actions and their delivery

  • Proven track record of working effectively to deliver solutions

  • Highly organised, structured and methodical approach

  • Ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines

Desirable

  • S/4 HANA implementation programme experience

  • Strong SAP working knowledge and project experience

  • Experience in life sciences and healthcare.

  • Experience in measuring, managing and improving Data Quality.

  • In depth knowledge of relevant key business processes.

  • Database management and SQL proficiency (desirable)

  • KPI dashboard development experience

  • Advanced excel skills including VBA
