The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team is accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies. This group will ensure that our IT Services are seamless and secure, and that technology is delivered in an efficient, effective, and agile way, with a strong focus on experience.

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Data and Insights Analyst will be assist with translating the data that we derive from the Management, Monitoring, Security & ServiceNow Tools and Platforms into actionable insights. Working under guidance of more senior employees, the role holder will be involved in analysing requirements, implementing components of solutions as well as supporting solution enhancements and maintenance, which may require a close collaboration with third party suppliers. The Data & Insights Analyst will adhere to the established AstraZeneca lifecycle methodology and practices. This may include maintaining program libraries and technical documentation of individual components within solutions.
Develops technical expertise and shares knowledge as required with project teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement ofIT Infrastructure Operationssolutions
Provides support in reviewing technical designs and ensuring adherence to the AZ Architecture Roadmap, Information Services Strategy and High Level Designs, as well as regulatory requirements and standards
Assists in the preparation of business cases, Request for Proposals, supplier selection and evaluation of proposals
Assistsmore senior employees in defining infrastructuresolutions, ensuring alignment with the target benefits and value expected
Assists in the design, development, configuration and documentation ofinfrastructurecomponents
Provides support with performance analysis and document solution components
Gathers and collates management reporting information on existinginfrastructuresolutions and services
Performs maintenance and support activities, routine analysis and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or expand service levels
Supports investigations of problems within existing solutionsutilising ITIL V3.0 principles
Must demonstrate the capability to identify and propose innovative solutions to improve service performance
YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
Education, Qualifications, andExperience
Essential
- Higher education with demonstrated capability to perform in a complex IT environment
- Prior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good business acumen
- Experience of dealing with 3rd party suppliers
- Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
- Evidence of designing, testing and maintaining solutions
- Experience of sharing knowledge/ information and implementing any changes
- Well versed in ITIL V3.0 practices and process
- Some experience in a data analyst or business role aligned to data and information management with practical examples of performing data analysis in terms of defining requirements, gleaning critical data elements, defining data quality criteria and checkpoints
- Good experience and/or awareness and/or drive in/to create actionable insights for IT Operations from IT systems that can support the operations of a world class IT function.
Desirable
- Degree level education in computer science or similar
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of the external market
Skills and Capabilities
Essential
- Good communication skills supporting joint working with geographically remote colleagues
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language and in alignment with AZ business
- Awareness of the end to end processes and activities in the build and support of Data solutions
- Experienced in applying a risk based methodology to data and information management
- Experience in the use of metadata cataloguing tools
- Experience of Data Analysis enabling tool kits
Desirable
- Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
