Ankara Regional Account Manager
Position Summary
The Regional Account Manager will be in charge of the effective management of a region assigned by company to provide and follow up a business plan with analyzing the respective accounts in order to increase disease and product awareness in the respective region.
To improve the identification and diagnosis of patients and manage the market development objectives, strategies, tactics, and action plans within the stated territory in respect of the local regulations, company values and procedures.
Ensuring the clinicians understand the presenting symptoms of the target diseases and have full knowledge of the diagnosis pathway, demonstrate and instill a burning sense of urgency, humility, and passion to create awareness.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaison with healthcare professionals within the defined territory to raise awareness of specific ultra-rare diseases
- Providing and following up a business plan with analyzing the respective accounts in order to increase disease and product awareness in the respective region.
- Reaching and checking out the availability of the hospital pharmacy and reporting back to Area Manager in order to plan the distribution for the week.
- Using the medical and marketing tools (Digital or leave behind tools) in the most effective way in line with our strategies.
- To improve the identification and diagnosis of patients and manage the market development objectives, strategies, tactics, and action plans within the stated territory.
- Ensure achievement of the following three key imperatives and performance measures
- Increase disease awareness with key target groups
- To collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and test high risk patients for the relevant diseases
- Establish a key opinion leader (KOL) network
- Developing and managing a working business plan with the Area Manager
- Using reporting tools effectively, be responsible to send the related reports in a timely manner in line with business priorities
- Assimilation and interpretation of clinical data to present and discuss with the medical audience for disease awareness
- Act with integrity in respect of global/local Ethics and Compliance
- Responsible for reporting all pharmacovigilance events, product quality complaints and medical information requests within 24 hours as of awareness according to the local applicable procedures.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of hospital business preferably in Hematology/Nephrology/Neurology therapeutic areas
- Pharmaceutical key account management experience preferably in Hematology/Nephrology
- Compassion and passion for patients
- Convincing communication and negotiation capabilities
- Proven track record of relationship development with healthcare professionals and physicians.
- Successful background in medical sales.
- Excellent knowledge of Turkish pharma regulations.
- Experience working in a virtual team and / or matrix organization an advantage.
- Analysing and recommendation-making skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a highly organized fashion.
- Sense of responsibility and ethics
- A willingness and desire to be a strong team player
- Self-confidence combined with humility in approach
- An ability and willingness to take controlled risks
- Ability to travel as required with the territory and further as and when necessary
- Scientific degree or relevant equivalent experience
