As the Global Commercial Head of ADCs, Gyn. you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to further our agenda to bring our B7H4 and FRα Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) to patients across the globe. The role has leadership accountabilities that are critical to the delivery of AZ business objectives and portfolio value targets. Working with the Global Franchise Head Lynparza, Saruparib & Gyn/GU Cancer, you will be a critical part of the Global Franchise Team and enable the cross-functional teams to successfully deliver on specific commercial leadership for our ADCs.

The Global Commercial Head ADCs, Gyn will be responsible for developing and driving the overall commercialization plans across indications and tumor areas, by collaborating directly with Global Product Teams (GPTs) and leading the Integrated Business Teams (IBTs) which includes members from Insights, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Diagnostics, Regional / Country teams, and other OBU functions. The role will work closely with Global Franchise Head, Global Product Lead, Commercial Heads in key regions, to ensure teams work effectively together and with the broader business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for global commercialization strategy for two novel ADCs with multiple indications & first launches in Gynaecological Cancers.

  • Represent business perspectives to cross functional teams, senior executives and governance committees, ensuring that commercialization priorities are appropriately considered for the ADCs.

  • Develop, shape, evolve and implement resources and programs to support the full commercial range of lifecycle deliverables including working with R&D partners to shape future development planning.

  • Contribute to the broader Oncology Therapeutic Area strategy across Gyn tumor areas.

  • Represent commercial leadership at Global Product Team to drive shaping of the LCM plans through in-depth commercial input and rigorous assessment.

  • Develop future-proofed revenue forecasts and business cases that are informed by robust customer insights with an overlay of commercial judgement.

  • Work with core markets to prepare for / deliver on all brand commercialization and launch programs.

  • Build and shape capabilities in global and in markets to drive state of the art commercialization.

  • Lead the Global and Integrated Brand Teams for developing and implementing one global brand strategy.

  • Accountable for engaging with Regional/Country teams to ensure alignment and share learnings across markets.

  • Collaborate closely with and provide direction to cross-functional partners (e.g. Insights, Access, Medical, Sales, Training, Corporate Affairs) for the development and implementation of both strategic and operational plans.

  • Drive market shaping strategies; shape and lead external engagements, partnerships, and patient centric solutions.

  • Collaborate with an extended team to deliver a sustainable pricing and access strategy for respective indications

  • Manage and shape the global commercial /marketing team for the brand, as needed for the business.

  • Communicate and influence leaders internally and externally in order to support acceleration of key priorities.

  • Collaborate with relevant Commercial leadership (and other team members) to deliver the global  ambition.

  • Lead by example in learning, innovation, cross-functional collaboration; seek opportunities to change paradigm and removes barriers within and outside the team.

  • Contribute actively to advancing, accelerating, simplifying our working and partnering models and processes towards maximum value creation for patients, healthcare, societies and AstraZeneca.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business or life sciences).

  • 10 + years of experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialization, with proven expertise in strategic marketing and launch excellence.

  • Strong ability to collaborate across scientific and commercial teams, demonstrating strategic and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated success in pre-launch and launch excellence, with robust insight generation and competitive landscape analysis capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

  • Previous sales or customer-facing experience.

  • Management experience with diverse teams.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead innovative projects with strategic foresight.

This position is based in our UK headquarters for our Global Oncology Business Unit, in Cambridge, UK but could also be based on our US headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD. The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303 - 343,954 USD. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
