As the Senior Manager Global Commercial FP&A you willplay a pivotal role in every aspect of the financial planning and analysis process, systems and ways or working across all Rare Disease Therapeutical Areas and Regions.
Reporting to the VP, Global Head of Finance Commercial, and working closely with the Director of Global Commercial FP&A, you will provide high quality and impactful financial analytics and support with insight generation that will lead to relevant business decisions and with resource allocations proposals across the Therapeutic Areas and the markets we operate.
This role will also work closely with the Global Marketing and Market Access Leadership Team to support them with their budget costs forecast and financial performance monthly reviews.
What you'll do
Co-Lead together with the Director of Global Commercial FP&A, the Global Rare Disease Therapy Area medium-long range financial forecasting.
Deliver Long Term Plan (LTP) while leveraging key partnerships within R&D and Global Portfolio Analytics.
Partner with Therapeutic Area Commercial Leads to manage financial performance and target delivery.
Streamline and improve reporting and analytical ability to support rapidly changing business structure and environment.
Prepare complex analytical models to support deeper business understanding and improved forecast accuracy.
Process owner for Rare Disease Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to prepare CEO for external earnings release.
Deliver regular financial performance briefings to Senior Leadership team, Enterprise Financial Planning and Analytics and AZ Group Finance.
Work closely with GFS to determine the essential analytical dashboards in PowerBIrequired to support business decisionand manage Anaplan forecasting tool to streamline forecasting and reporting.
Drive the mid-month forecast exercise, understanding and challenging the key assumptions used to determine the latest revenue forecast provided by the TAs and Regions.
Manage the key deliverables from our Center of Excellence in Costa Rica (GFS-Global Finance Services) aligned with business expectations.
Responsible for the GMMA (Global Marketing and Market Access) monthly cost performance, working closely with the GMMA Business Leaders.
Work closely with the Global Commercial Finance TA Leaders to consolidate monthly commentaries and explanations of business variances and identify periodically risk & opportunities vs budget.
Essential for the role
Bachelor’s degree in a Finance related field like Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, etc.
5+ years of experience in a Finance, Planning and Analysis position
Strong commercial competence, underpinned by robust analytical skills and creative thinking.
An enterprise mindset and strong understanding of the key commercial drivers of a business.
A strategic focus but able to work at a detailed level.
Experience in commercial finance FP&A roles at Global or Market level.
Executive presence with well-developed financial and analytical skills, including the ability to influence at the most senior levels.
Ability to handle ambiguity and thrive in unchartered territory.
Curious and drive to learn and succeed
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
Desirable for the role
Experience in the healthcare sector especially in pharmaceutical commercial finance.
Demonstrable career progression in global companies with experience of working across different geographical regions.
Advanced degree in scientific discipline and/or MBA

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $106,656.80 - 159,985.20 USD. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
