Introduction to role

  • DevSecOps engineering: Build and operate secure, scalable platforms on AWS using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes/EKS.

  • Enable complex application CI/CD: Implement end to end pipelines for Salesforce, Veeva CRM, Sitecore, MuleSoft, and other modern apps with environment promotion and safe rollout/rollback.

  • Security by default: Integrate Trivy, AWS Inspector, Security Hub, SonarQube, secrets management, and policy as code.

  • Observability & AIOps: Deliver monitoring, logging, alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana) and AIOps for anomaly detection and auto remediation.

  • Operational excellence: Handle incidents, maintain runbooks, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Standards & collaboration: Promote best practices for version control, artifacts, and deployments; partner across app, security, and compliance teams.

Accountabilities

  • Establishing secure DevSecOps infrastructure and CI/CD across AWS and target apps.

  • Ensuring timely incident response and operational readiness.

  • Analyzing processes to identify DevSecOps opportunities and improvements.

  • Driving adoption and refinement of tools, methodologies, and governance.

  • Maintaining current knowledge of emerging DevSecOps trends.

  • Promoting standardization for version control, build artifacts, and deployment.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps with hands on IaC, CI/CD, security automation, and observability.

  • AWS expertise: VPC/IAM, EC2/EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Inspector, Security Hub.

  • IaC/Config: Terraform (modules, state, CI checks) and Ansible (roles, inventories, idempotent playbooks).

  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions/Jenkins; reusable pipelines, environment strategies, artifact promotion, blue/green and canary.

  • Security: Trivy, Inspector, Security Hub, SonarQube, secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager/Vault), SBOMs, policy as code.

  • Observability/AIOps: Monitoring, logging, alerting with SLOs; experience with Prometheus/Grafana and CloudWatch.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Tool depth: GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes/EKS, AWS; CI/CD for Salesforce, Veeva, Sitecore, MuleSoft.

  • Certifications: AWS, Kubernetes (CKA), Terraform

  • Methods: Agile/Scrum, GitOps, platform engineering; experience in regulated change control environments.
