Introduction to role:

Are you ready to turn clinical data into early signals that safeguard patients and speed decisive action in our trials? As a Clinical Data Scientist you will build and maintain the Centralised Monitoring capabilities that power risk-based quality oversight across our global studies—helping deliver better outcomes in areas such as cardiovascular, renal, respiratory and immunology. You will ensure our platforms are always ready for the next study, data sources are correctly configured, and standard features are mapped and validated so analyses run smoothly and reliably. Working alongside experienced CM Data Scientists, you’ll translate study needs into standard and lightweight bespoke functionalities, steadily growing from delivering components to owning end-to-end solutions. Do you see yourself shaping robust CM systems that clinicians, statisticians and study teams rely on every day?

Accountabilities:

  • CM System Readiness: Configure and maintain Centralised Monitoring environments so they are continuously ready to support new and ongoing studies, ensuring secure access, stable integrations and compliant operation.

  • Study Onboarding: Enable CM support for new studies by configuring data sources, establishing workspaces and repositories, and ensuring the right data arrives in the right place at the right time.

  • Functionality Development: Under supervision, develop and maintain lower-complexity CM functionalities by gathering requirements, programming, testing and producing complete documentation—contributing features that improve detection of issues and drive timely interventions.

  • Standard Feature Mapping: Deliver elements of, or full end-to-end mapping for, standard CM functionalities including programming, testing, validation and documentation, increasing reuse and accelerating study start-up.

  • Analysis Enablement: Prepare systems for execution of CM analyses for assigned studies by setting up and maintaining data sources and ensuring environments are analysis-ready.

  • Operational Administration: Perform basic system administration across access management, change management and issue management, with clear traceability and timely resolution to keep studies moving.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Create and update CM system documentation, ensuring all configurations, validations and changes are accurately recorded for audit readiness and knowledge transfer.

  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with Data Scientists within CM, contributing to shared standards, troubleshooting data and configuration issues, and scaling good practices across studies.
