Job Title: Senior IT Support Engineer, Quality and Laboratory Systems

  • Work Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore, India

  • Work Schedule: Three days on-site, two days remote (3/2)

  • Career Level: D3 – Individual Contributor position.

As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Laboratory and Quality IT systems, ensuring operational efficiency and streamlining processes to meet our strategic goals.


Accountabilities

As a Senior IT Support Engineer, Quality and Laboratory Systems, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading a team of IT specialists supporting quality and laboratory systems

  • Coordinating service delivery, ensuring alignment with SLAs and maintaining high customer happiness

  • Accountable for incident, request, and problem management for quality and laboratory systems

  • Accountable for security, system administration, configuration, and continuity management for quality and laboratory systems

  • Serving as the main contact for senior collaborators in the Quality function

  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives and driving adoption of standard methodologies

  • Managing vendor relationships and contracts for key systems

  • Leading all aspects of budget and resource allocation for the support team

  • Ensuring compliance with GxP regulations and company policies

  • Driving data integrity and security initiatives across supported systems

  • Collaborating with global IT teams for aligned service delivery and information exchange


Essential Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Engineering or a related field.

  • 8+ years of proven experience in IT service management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the GxP Quality and Laboratory Systems Domain

  • Proficient in ITIL principles and IT service management standard processes (e.g. ITIL 4 certification)

  • Experience (1-3 years) of Stakeholder Relationship and Communication Management

  • Direct experience working with the following systems:

  • Laboratory Information Management Systems (e.g. LabWare LIMS)

  • Lab Execution Systems (e.g. Biovia ONE Lab LES)

  • Chromatography Data Systems (e.g. Empower 3 CDS)

  • Scientific Data Management Systems (e.g. Waters NuGenesis SDMS)

  • Computer Systems Validation and GAMP 5 experience

  • Experience of Administering On-Premises Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting

  • Experience with Administration of Segregated Lab Networks, IT/OT integration and IT Endpoint Asset Management


Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Cloud Certification (e.g. AWS, Azure)

  • Six Sigma or Lean certification

  • Analytical Instrument Validation and USP 1058 experience

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI/ML in regulated environments

  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools

  • Customer focused with high enthusiasm and energy

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Experience working with global, multi-cultural teams
