As a Senior Clinical Data Scientist I, you will build and evolve Centralized Monitoring (CM) functionalities that power risk-based quality management across our global studies.
Working closely with RbQM (Risks based Quality management) leads and fellow Data Scientists, you will translate study and platform requirements into robust R code, scalable standards and reproducible analyses. Your work will enable informed, timely decisions and consistent delivery across trials and therapeutic areas. Accountabilities:
CM Capability Development: Design, build and test new standard CM functionalities that drive consistent analytics across studies, from requirement gathering through programming, testing and documentation.
Study-Specific Analyses: Lead the design and delivery of study-specific CM analyses, coordinating inputs from diverse stakeholders to produce clear, actionable outputs that inform RbQM decisions.
Data Mapping and Integration: Architect and lead data mappings to CM functionalities, ensuring quality, traceability and fitness for purpose across multiple clinical data sources.
Maintenance and Subject Matter Expertise: Own the ongoing maintenance of data mappings and study-specific CM analyses so they remain compliant with evolving requirements; act as SME for selected CM functionalities.
Delivery Leadership: Take responsibility for specific CM deliveries, plan and track progress and lead task execution with other CM staff to meet achievements.
Guideline and Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen standards and improve reliability; implement practical solutions that raise delivery quality.
Collaboration and Communication: Partner closely with RbQM leads, data scientists and study teams to clarify needs, explain methods and communicate results in clear, concise English.
Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to team capability by training and mentoring junior staff and codifying learning into reusable standards and documentation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Educational degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Life Science, Computer Science or Information Science and 3 years of experience in the application of information and knowledge management in a clinical or scientific setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Has good knowledge of R programming language, or Python programming language, preferably R programming language.
Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
Great teammate
Has basic knowledge of SQL
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Previous knowledge of at least one BI platform is an advantage
Previous experience in life science and clinical studies is an advantage
