Job Title: Associate Director, RDU IT - Portfolio Performance, Financial Management & Operational Excellence

In the role of Associate Director within RDU IT - Portfolio Performance, Financial Management & Operational Excellence, you will help develop how our IT organization plans its performance. You will also help develop how it measures its performance. You will support continuous performance improvement.

Based in Bangalore and collaborating with a global network of technology leaders, portfolio managers, and business partners, you will play a key role in advancing how we operate IT as a strategic business function. You will guide financial planning and governance, strengthen performance insights, and help build resilient, sustainable ways of working. Your ability to turn data into actionable insights and align strategy with execution will contribute directly to business outcomes and ongoing innovation.

Accountabilities:

  • Financial Planning & Oversight: Own the MTP process and annual IT budget, establishing strong governance to monitor actuals, accruals, and forecasts; lead all aspects of SOWs and contracts to keep spend aligned to plan and value realized.
  • Performance Reporting & Analytics: Build scorecards and dashboards on monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles; move the organization from retrospective reporting to predictive insights that improve delivery, cost, and risk outcomes.
  • Data Governance & Benchmarking: Define and uphold data standards, sources of truth, and external benchmarks; enable consistent measures of maturity and effectiveness to guide investment and improvement.
  • Operational Excellence & Innovation: Partner across functions to map, simplify, and automate processes; set metrics that reinforce a culture of continuous improvement and accelerate efficiency and quality.
  • Vendor & Workforce Governance: Establish governance for external partners and contingent labor; work with Talent Acquisition to align headcount plans to portfolio needs and optimize capacity and skills.
  • Operational Resilience & Infrastructure: Lead business continuity planning within IT operations; collaborate with cyber, infrastructure, and network teams to harden resilience and security for critical services.
  • Leadership & Strategic Alignment: Run leadership forums that align strategy, risks, and priorities; embed quality assurance and cybersecurity considerations into decision-making to deliver measurable business value.
  • Productivity & Resource Optimization: Track travel and productivity drivers; identify efficiency opportunities that redeploy resources to the highest-impact work.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in IT portfolio operational management, with a proven track record of driving performance and operational excellence
  • Proven experience in managing organizational change, developing central initiatives, and implementing improvement in execution programs
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities, with the ability to advise and engage cross-functional teams to meet performance, reporting, and delivery objectives
  • Familiarity with performance measurement tools, techniques, industry guidelines, and internal methodologies
  • Advanced communication, analytical, critical thinking, and presentation skills, including proficiency in facilitation and information gathering

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree, MBA, or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP/PMI, Agile methodologies, and/or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent Operational Excellence training)
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT applications including Microsoft tools, ServiceNow, Project Portfolio Management platforms, and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Outstanding decision-making and problem-solving abilities to analyze and address complex, advanced issues
  • A proactive, diligent self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and teams independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
