About the Role
We are looking for a Medical Governance Manager to join AstraZeneca Switzerland's Medical Governance team.
In this role, you will support the delivery of Medical Governance activities and act as a key contributor to the Nominated Signatory and Medical Information functions. You will help ensure that promotional and non-promotional activities, scientific communications, events, and stakeholder interactions comply with internal policies, industry codes, and applicable regulations.
You will work closely with colleagues across Medical Affairs, Compliance, Commercial and other business functions to maintain high standards of scientific accuracy, ethics, and compliance.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance.
- Support approval activities related to events, sponsorships, and donations.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Medical Governance procedures, SOPs, and working instructions.
- Deliver compliance and governance training to employees and stakeholders.
- Manage medical and scientific enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Research, evaluate, and communicate balanced and evidence-based medical information.
- Maintain and document medical enquiries within the Global Medical Information Platform (GMIP).
- Support Medical Affairs through the provision of scientific and medical information.
- Develop and deliver training on AstraZeneca products, therapy areas and pharmacology.
Who You Are
Education
- Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, or another relevant scientific discipline.
Experience & Knowledge
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in Medical Information, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, or a related function is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Swiss pharmaceutical regulations, industry codes, and healthcare compliance principles.
- Understanding of applicable regulations and guidelines, including TPA, ICH, GCP, and Pharma Code.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyse scientific information and communicate complex topics clearly.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset.
- Good digital literacy and proficiency with business systems and applications.
Languages
- Fluent German and English.
- Good working knowledge of French.
- Italian is an advantage.
