What you’ll do
Join our New Zealand Respiratory & Immunology medical team as a Medical Science Liaison to deliver on medical strategy for the country. You will provide actionable information to key clinicians that enhances the value and appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products to internal stakeholders; respond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balanced clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products and services and develop appropriate clinical and scientific information that clinically differentiates AstraZeneca's products.

Essential for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (ex: Medicine, Pharmacy or disease related science)

• Experience within field Medical Affairs

• Experience in pharmaceutical industry

• Experience with basic research, drug discovery, drug development and KOL interactions

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills 

• Excellent project management skills

• Excellent presentation skills

• High level analytical and conceptual thinking

• Strong leadership

• Ability to travel nationally
  

Desirable for the role

• Master’s degree/PhD/PharmD  in a scientific discipline or MD and extensive experience within Medical and previous team management experience; MBA

• Experience in respiratory or immunology therapy areas

• Knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory developments

• Experience in product launch or strategy development and execution

• Demonstrated expertise in drug information communication

• Strong knowledge of New Zealand healthcare market
