Cross Programme Change Comms Lead - 12 - 18 month Fixed Term Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the central Change, Comms and Training Director, you will:

  • Develop and maintain an overview of planned change communications impacting the business and develop a robust communications plan to ensure timely and controlled dissemination of messages from across all projects within FT

  • Take ownership of developing a new FT-branded Nucleus site, managing content from across the enterprise organisation to provide a one-stop shop for all FT content for the business

  • Develop a strategy to drive up engagement in and interaction with Workplace, with a particular focus on the FT Workplace group

  • Support on the delivery of cross-FT communications, for example driving up participation in the Pulse survey – and create a communications/actions strategy based on the Pulse outcomes to drive an increase in areas identified as requiring attention

  • Work in close collaboration with the FT Engagement Lead to develop robust and cohesive stakeholder advocacy across our key audiences

  • Develop standardised project materials/toolkits to ensure consistency in tone of voice and visual identity across the FT business

  • Support the transition to BAU and Hypercare through effective communications and change management principles

  • Manage FT Events in collaboration with the CCT Director – ensuring attendance of employees where possible, developing content, measuring feedback

  • Assist the In-Programme change leads to remove barriers/issues in the delivery of their project-specific plans

  • Able to collate and summarise key change milestones for all FT programmes and liaise with the CCT Director and in-programme Communications Leads to ensure robust and timely above-programme communication

You must be able to gain the trust and respect of internal stakeholders who will rely on your advice and guidance on required business change. Excellent and demonstrable writing ability, project management, planning and multi-channel communications experience (particularly digital communications) is essential, with a proven track record for delivering successful change communications to diverse audiences. A sound Financial background is desirable.

You will be pro-active in your approach, confident in your capabilities, have exemplary personal judgment and resilience and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.

  • Website and Workplace development and execution

  • Develop Communications toolkits to support in-project Change Leads to communicate consistently

  • Stakeholder advocacy

  • Support role and guidance/mentoring for in-project Change Leads

  • Within and above programme Change Communications – celebrating and promoting milestones, recognising contributions and issues management

  • Deputise in all CCT Director responsibilities during periods of absence

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • Proven experience of developing and implementing communications and change plans in a complex multi-stakeholder Finance environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong collaboration, project management, planning and multi-channel delivery experience

  • Experience of managing different stakeholder relationships, developing cross-cultural networks and tactfully challenging opinions to achieve desired outcomes

  • Strong creative design and execution of digital communications assets 

  • Excellent eye for detail and upholding visual and verbal identity

  • High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the team and peer group

  • Willingness and ability to travel between UK sites and Internationally, where necessary
