Senior Brand Manager

Job Purpose:

The Brand Manager's main focus will be on completing the Marketing strategy for the Oncology brands. As well, He/She will be responsible for a wide variety of projects, including, but not limited to HCP and Patient Marketing, Convention Planning, Promotional Speaker Training, Sales Communications and Budget Management. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Customize and Implement Local Brand Strategy: Develop and adapt brand strategies to meet the outstanding needs and dynamics of the local market, ensuring alignment with global brand objectives while considering partners behavior and preferences.
  • Demonstrate and in-depth understanding of the market and competitive landscape and support the company in the identification of new market opportunities, in line with brand strategy
  • Identify actionable brand insights that help craft brand strategy and direction
  • Research trends, platforms, and experiences that can drive innovation and performance
  • Accountable for ensuring brands meet or exceed annual revenue and unit forecasts
  • Congress Planning –including creation of all promotional materials, coordination of meeting logistics, communications and post meeting follow up
  • Development and execution of the Promotional Speaker Program, including speaker training, materials development, communications and follow up
  • Build, drive and lead engagement and interactions with KEEs and partners in the Oncology community.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing promotional materials aligned with brand strategy Lead or support internal submissions and reviews (medical/legal/regulatory)
  • Participate in all brand planning and budget meetings and assist in development of brand planning deliverables
  • Lead brand budget to ensure maximum ROI for investments, and that annual budgets are not exceeded
  • Lead, contracts, MSAs, SOWs and POs for all vendors
  • Support and build collaborative relationships with the Oncology matrix teams (sales, market access, sales operations, medical)
  • Supervise efficiency's of programs and initiatives including success supervising criteria and KPIs. Share successes and standard processes
  • Strategy development and Implementation

Minimum Criteria and Competencies:

For Internal candidates:

  • Internal: Minimum 2 years’ experience in AstraZeneca with current position of Brand Manager/ Team Leader.  (position will be treated as Brand Manager in case of no marketing previous experience)
  • External: minimum three years of experience as Brand Manager
  • Oncology experience is must
  • English Command is a must
  • Related education; MD, PharmD, Vet, Biomedical Sciences
  • Ability to network across geographic and cultural boundaries.

For External candidates:

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Marketing experience
  • Oncology experience / New Oncology product Launch  is a must
  • Validated skills in the following: brand marketing, market and competitive analysis, digital marketing program development, project management and execution, financial and budget management experience required
  • Proven track record to lead multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet objectives
  • Work independently, with a sense of urgency
  • Proven strong attention to detail
  • Have outstanding, oral and written communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
  • Good English is a requirement
  • Digital Skills
